JOHANE TARTAN SKIRT
€195.00
- Description
"God Save the Queen!"
Beware of the British spirit this season. From the English spirit we have kept the high quality of the wool draperies, the traditional tartan fabric, without forgetting the little punk touch that suits us so well. For a total tartan look (daring we agree, but "so British") you can wear your Johanne wrap skirt with the matching Vivienne overshirt. For a "Breton countryside" look, it will be perfect with a warm wool sweater for a walk in the salt marshes, with the wind in your ears and a taste of salt on your lips.
+Fit and sizing
Our Johane skirt is a pencil skirt with a high waist and knee length. It closes with an invisible zip on the side. Johanne is a close-fitting skirt, so we advise you to take your usual size.
Sabina is 5’9’’ (1,76m) tall and wears the size 38
Measurements for a size 38
- Total length: 72cm
- Waist width: 36cm
+Manufacturing
Our Johane skirt was entirely designed and imagined in our botanical HQ in Brittany and manufactured with passion and know-how by our partner factory in Portugal. We went to Morgado for the fabric: one of the best manufacturers, also Portuguese, in order to limit our carbon footprint as much as possible and to preserve our dear planet Earth.

100% wool
Hand wash or machine wash: hand wash cycle/wool cycle, cold water, with a soft laundry detergent, minimum spin (600) or none, dry flat.
Material & care
Our Johane skirt has been made from a beautiful 100% wool tartan fabric. We advise you to wear your Johane skirt with tights to prevent the wool from itching. The tartan pattern was first used for clothing by the Scots in the 17th century. After being banned for a time, King George IV rehabilitated the pattern and it became a national emblem. In the 1970s, the Punk movement reappropriated the tartan and made it a symbol of rebellion. Many fashion houses now offer different interpretations of this traditional pattern. In Mont Saint Michel we have chosen a traditional 100% wool fabric with a nice harmony of beige, black and red colours. At first glance, it may seem rather classic, but the red stripes break up this first impression and give the pattern a punk feel. Johane can be washed gently by hand in cold water or in the machine with a hand/wool programme, on cold, with a mild detergent such as Mir Laine and a minimum spin cycle (600). Then dry it flat to prevent the knitwear from deforming.
