Our Vivienne overshirt is the lumberjack shirt revisited with a British twist. From the lumberjack shirt we kept its thick wool sheet and its two false breast pockets with bands But instead of using a classic check fabric we opted for a tartan fabric, so scottish! For a total tartan look you can wear your Vivienne overshirt with the matching Johanne skirt (accompanied by a good Scotch whisky, to be drunk in moderation of course!) To face the long Breton winters, it will be perfect with a thick wool jumper underneath and our velvet Pimprenelle trousers.
+Fit and sizing
Our Vivienne overshirt has an oversized cut with slightly shifted shoulders for a cool look. It has been designed to be worn as a shirt, closed over a nice pair of jeans or a skirt, or open, over a shirt or a winter sweater.
To wear it as an overshirt we advise you to take your usual size so that you can put a shirt or a jumper underneath. If you want to wear it as a shirt, we recommend that you wear it one size smaller than your usual size so that it fits better.

Our Vivienne overshirt was entirely designed and imagined in our botanical HQ in Brittany and manufactured with passion and know-how by our partner factory in Portugal. We went to Morgado for the fabric: one of the best manufacturers, also Portuguese, in order to limit our carbon footprint as much as possible and to preserve our dear planet Earth

Material & care
Our Vivienne overshirt has been made from a beautiful 100% wool tartan fabric. The tartan pattern has been used for clothing since the 17th century by the Scots. After being banned for a time, King George IV rehabilitated the pattern and it became a national emblem. In the 1970s, the Punk movement reappropriated the tartan and made it a symbol of rebellion. Many fashion houses now offer different interpretations of this traditional pattern. In Le Mont Saint Michel we have chosen a traditional 100% wool fabric with a nice harmony of beige, black and red colours. At first glance, it may seem rather classic, but the red stripes break up this first impression and give the pattern a punk twist. Vivienne can be washed gently by hand in cold water or in the machine with a hand/wool programme, on cold, with a mild detergent such as Mir Laine and a minimum spin cycle (600). Then dry it flat to prevent the knitwear from deforming.
