Workwear

Our workwear garments are already heavily washed during the manufacturing process, and are made of a very tightly-woven fabric. Washing should therefore not be of any problem with either a hand wash or a machine wash. Of course hand washing is less agressive and secures a perfect stability.

Workwear garments are still made out of cotton, so if you use a 40°c machine wash cycle, it may shrink just a little like denim but it will get back to its original size once worn. It's also why we do not advise to tumble dry and suggest to lay it flat to dry, or on a hanger (it's not knitwear so you can do it!) then iron it if you wish.

Knitwear

wool, alpaca, mohair

The wool fiber's scales are naturally made to protect the fiber against bacterias and bad smells. We therefore suggest that you wash your knitwear less often as possible, whilst making sure not to wear the same sweater two times in a row to let the fiber breathe and dry. That being said, it's always better to hand-wash sweaters but you can still machine-wash them if you use a wool cycle, at a cold temperature (so that the wool doesn't felt) with a laundry detergent which is appropriate for wool such as Perwoll. Use a 400-600 rpm spin cycle or no spinning at all. Do not overload your machine. If you notice any shrinking when you wash your sweater for the first time, stretch it when it's still wet. Then lay it flat to dry to avoid any distortion.

Knitwear

wool blend

Wool blends (with between 30 and 50% of synthetic fibers) have been invented to make wool machine-washable. You can therefore machine-wash them. However you need to be careful: do not use a temperature above 30°C as wool tends to quickly felt over 37°C. Do not overload your machine. Always prefer a soft cycle such as the wool wash, and a 400-600 rpm spin cycle.

Knitwear

angora

Angora is a very thin, smooth and short fiber (hence the softness). When you begin to wear it you can notice some extra material loss. You simply need to pull that material away by hand, or using a Sweater Comb.

For the rest, we advise a similar wash as for wool sweaters, which is: preferably a hand wash, or a machine wash with a wool cycle, using a soft laundry detergent appropriate for wool such as Peroll, with a 400-600 rpm spin cycle, and dry flat.

Knitwear

cotton

A cotton sweater is easy to machine wash either with cold water or 30°C water. Use preferably a gentle cycle with a 400-600 rpm spin cycle. Cotton sweaters can shrink a little but you can stretch it after washing it while it's still wet and it will get back to its original shape once worn.

T-Shirts, Sweatshirts & Shirtss

These garments can be easily machine-washed at 30°C. They can shrink a little but you can stretch it after washing it while it's still wet (especially for circular knits such as T-Shirts & Sweatshirts) and it will get back to its original shape once worn.

Leather

For leather goods, we only use vegetable-tanned leather. These leathers develop a beautiful patina over time and heal themselves. To make sure they will remain in pristine conditions for years, we suggest that you use leather wax. Simply poor a bit of leather wax on a cleaning cloth and rub it on your leather good until the wax gets in. Then polish it using a dry cloth or a brush.
