If Le Mont Saint Michel is historically known for its work jackets, the brand has also produced jeans in the past, especially in the 70s. With the aim of remaining faithful to our old models we have developed a straight jean thanks to a particular Italian fabric.
For summer 2022 we have developed our Pacôme denim in an ecru denim fabric.
+Fit and sizing
Before starting the creation of this piece we had in our hands several LMSM jeans from the archives to help us understand how our jeans were made 50 years ago. Single stitch on the legs, chain stitch on the hem, all the original details are back.
Xavier is 6’1’’ (1,85m) tall and wears the size M
Our Pacôme denim was entirely designed and imagined in our botanical HQ in Brittany. Then, we went to get its fabric from one of the best Italian weavers to make it in Tunisia by the expert hands of our partner company's teams. Our workshops have all been audited by independent organizations and we regularly check the quality of working conditions and environmental standards of our partners.
100% cotton (40% of which is BCI certified)
Material & care
In Europe, our denim manufacturer is the best in terms of quality and environment. In addition, 40% of the cotton used is BCI certified (Better Cotton Initiative, a label that guarantees the sustainability of the cotton used) and the Italian factory is a pioneer in sustainable denim technologies. Our denim is sanforized at our fabric producer (i.e. the fabric is treated so that it does not shrink in the wash) and then lightly washed again by our workshop. For the first wash, we advise you to let it soak for ½ hour in lukewarm water with a capful of detergent for dark fabrics, then rinse it with clear water and let it dry in the open air. For the following washes, you can wash it in the washing machine at 30°C. The Pacôme is delivered with a selvedge in the blue color only.
