For spring 2022, Alexandre et Marie Milan are collaborating with Bisart for the launch of 12 unique work jackets.
Our quality control is impeccable: a small imperfection, seams not quite parallel, a dye that is slightly different or buttonholes that are not perfectly made... and our jackets are set aside and doomed to remain lifeless...
Rather than doing nothing with them, we have chosen to reuse them, and who better to help us in this project than Bisart, a young brand from Lyon who usually brings second-hand clothes back to life.
To bring a new touch to the clothes that Bisart offers, he often collaborates with young artists who imagine illustrations that will then be sewn to the back of the clothes.
Thanks to Bisart we discovered Maximega, an artist who has his own screen printing workshop in the 5th arrondissement of Lyon. Inspired by comics, the world of skateboarding and old advertisements, Maximega works with typography in its designs, the appearance of which is reminiscent of old advertisements.
Maximega therefore offered us a unique illustration using the codes and slogans of our vintage ads that were seen everywhere in Brittany and Normandy.
Once the screen printing was defined, Théo from the Bisart brand then went to Maximega's screen printing workshop to print the designs on sheets found in a thrift store, always with the aim of minimizing the ecological impact of his project.
These patches are then sewn by hand on the back of the jackets and numbered from 1 to 12.
